PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how CardFest Expo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit cardfestexpo.com, purchase tickets or vendor products, contact us, attend an event, or use related services such as digital tickets and door scanning.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information — such as your name, email address, phone number, and message content when you contact us or complete checkout.
- Order and ticket information — products purchased, ticket types, order identifiers, amounts, promo codes used, QR ticket data, scan/redemption status, and related metadata needed to fulfill and validate admission.
- Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may receive limited payment metadata from Stripe (such as charge IDs, last four digits, card brand, payment status, and refund or dispute status).
- Vendor and sponsorship inquiries — business details you choose to share when applying for a vendor table, sponsorship, or similar opportunities.
- Technical data — such as IP address, browser type, device characteristics, referring URLs, and basic request logs recorded by our hosting provider when you load pages or use checkout.
- Local browser data — your cart contents may be stored in your browser’s session storage until checkout is completed or the session ends.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Process purchases and deliver tickets by email or on-screen confirmation
- Operate admission, scanning, and event-day workflows
- Respond to questions about tickets, vendors, sponsorships, and the show
- Send transactional messages related to your order or event attendance
- Detect fraud, abuse, duplicate orders, or unauthorized ticket use
- Respond to refund requests, payment disputes, or chargebacks where applicable
- Maintain business, accounting, and legal records
- Improve our website, checkout experience, and events
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate CardFest Expo, including with:
- Payment processors — primarily Stripe, to process payments and handle refunds or disputes.
- Service providers — such as hosting, email delivery, and ticketing infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.
- Venue and event partners — limited information when needed for admission, safety, or logistics at a specific show.
- Legal and safety purposes — when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies or similar technologies where needed for site access controls, checkout, and security. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on this site unless we later disclose them here.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, operate events, respond to support requests, maintain records, and meet legal obligations — then delete or anonymize it when no longer reasonably needed.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information in transit and in our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices
You may choose not to provide optional information, though some features (such as ticket delivery) require an email address. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you provided, contact us using the address below. We may retain limited records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as completed orders, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
8. Children
Our website and ticket checkout are intended for users 18 or older, or the age of majority where they live. Programs such as Kids Vault may involve children only with parent or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. International visitors
If you access our site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Policies are subject to change; the “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
